As I've shared here before I'm putting together a band in support of my current recording project. If you've never tried to pull together a group of musicians about the only thing close to the experience would be a cross between organizing a family reunion and having young children. Yes, it is both that fun and that difficult. There are plenty of hard parts. Locating musicians who are talented and who compliment your style and personality, who will get along with the other musicians in the band and who have some scheduling flexibility is next to impossible. By all accounts I'm having a pretty good week. I have three musicians each matching at least two conditions.

I've still got a ways to go, but two of the three are key positions in the project. And they've played together successfully before. I am having good luck. However, I'm not going to tempt fate too much by putting any names here just yet. I'll wait until after we get together in the next couple days.
